The Vision St. Charles County Leadership program works to:

Inform
leaders about the challenges and opportunities facing our
state and to encourage solutions and collaboration.

leaders to become active in organization, community, or statewide
efforts that make Missouri a better place to work and live.

leaders to increase their awareness about themselves and their
state and to maximize their leadership potential.

APPLICATION
INFORMATION
Applicants for the program must have the support and commitment
of their business or organization. Every January applications of
emerging and established leaders are sought from all segments of
the community. Individuals representing a broad community spectrum
will be accepted as members of the Vision St. Charles County Leadership
program. Admission is competitive since only 30 participants are
accepted.

Participant
Criteria
- Involvement
in professional leadership positions
- Ability
and desire to assume greater leadership responsibility in the
community
- Willingness
to make a commitment to the program and to participate in all
scheduled classes and activities
- Commitment
of the organization or corporation they represent
- Personal
commitment to ongoing community service involvement
Program
Days
The August through March curriculum guides a selected group of diverse
community professionals through a highly interactive series of cutting
edge seminars on critical regional issues. They include leadership
training exercises, speakers, site visits, panel discussions, and
interactions with key decision makers. This is to inspire participants
to address community challenges as well as opportunities to enhance
self-awareness of leadership approaches.
Applicants
must have the ability to attend all sessions, barring extreme emergencies,
to be eligible for participation in the Vision St Charles Leadership
class. There will be two overnight sessions WHICH ARE MANDATORY.
The first is a retreat in August and the other is a trip to Jefferson
City in February.

Interviewing Process
Once all applications are reviewed, finalists are required to participate
in a phone interview with members of the Recruitment/Selection Committee
in April of each year. The Recruitment/Selection Committee strives
to ensure that the composition of each year’s class is representative
of the demographics of the region.
Tuition
Tuition for Vision St. Charles County Leadership is $600. Completed
applications for enrollment must be accompanied by check made payable
to Vision St. Charles County Leadership. Tuition received from applicants
not selected to participate in that year’s leadership class
will be refunded in full. Tuition received from applicants who are
selected but fail to meet the time commitment and are dismissed
from the program will not be refunded.
