Vision St. Charles County Leadership will hold the graduation ceremony for the class of 2010 on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Old Hickory Golf Club. The class meets one day a month from August – March with the exception of a 2 day retreat in August and an overnight trip to Jefferson City in February. Applications are due by April 30, 2010 and must be accompanied by a $25 non-refundable registration fee. Scholarships may be available.

VISION LEADERSHIP VISITS STATE CAPITOL

The 2009 Vision St. Charles County Leadership class recently spent two days in Jefferson City touring the capitol, meeting with state legislators, visiting the state Supreme Court and in general gaining a clearer “vision” of what makes Missouri’s government work. The class picture (enclosed) was taken while the class visited the House of Representatives.

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2009-10 class. Vision’s mission is to educate community and business leaders by providing experiences that will increase awareness, develop leadership skills and motivate participants to be actively engaged in St. Charles County.

The class meets one day a month from August – March with the exception of a 2 day retreat in August and an overnight trip to Jefferson City in February. Some of the topics covered include civic leadership, economic development, education and health care. Tuition is $600 and must accompany applications which are due by March 31, 2009.

Vision’s mission is to educate community and business leaders by providing experiences that will increase awareness, develop leadership skills and motivate participants to be actively engaged in St. Charles County.

The class meets one day a month from August – March with the exception of a 2 day retreat in August and an overnight trip to Jefferson City in February. Vision St. Charles County Leadership is hosting its 4th annual trivia event on JANUARY 10, 2009 at the American Legion Hall in St. Charles, MO at 7:00pm. Cost is $160 per team of ten with a 50 team maximum. The evening includes a bonus round, 50/50 raffle, silent auction, prize balloons, free beer and soda with a cash bar (no outside alcohol will be allowed).

Reservations will be taken on a first come-first served basis There are also $50 round sponsorships available. The winning team receives a $300 grand prize and 2nd place receives $100. Send registration and payment to:

VISION LEADERSHIP CLASS ADDRESSES HOMELESSNESS, OBESITY AND SCHOOL OVERCROWDING

The 2007-08 Vision St. Charles County Leadership class has taken it upon themselves to tackle some of the challenging issues confronting our community. The participants have collaborated over the past several months by researching and investigating ways to resolve the problems of homelessness, obesity and overcrowding in some of the area’s schools. Presentations of their findings and proposed resolutions will be made on Thursday, March 20th at Lindenwood University in the Spellman Center from 12:45-3:30PM.

2007 VISION ST. CHARLES COUNTY LEADERSHIP CLASS ANNOUNCES GROUP PROJECTS

The Vision Leadership Class of 2007 has hit the ground running. The class of 25 selected two areas of interest to the community which participants will research and report on at the end of the year. Projects will concentrate on developing a Youth Leadership Program for High School students and development of a leadership speaker series for St. Charles County, bringing in national business leaders for conferences.

Vision Leadership will host a golf tournament on Tuesday, October 24th at Pheasant Run Golf Course in O’Fallon. Players pay $40 for 9 holes of golf plus appetizers and a drink. Vision Visits Jeff City

The 2004-05 Vision Leadership class recently participated in a 2 day program in Jefferson City highlighting state government. Included in their stay was a visit with state legislators at the Capitol. This year’s class will celebrate graduation on March 24th. Vision is currently accepting applications for the 2005-06 progam until March 31, 2005.
